The concrete floor is ramped to allow golf-cart and bicycle access. The rain cache cistern is located under the house and holds 15,000 gallons of filtered water. There is a wooden rain cache outdoors (not currently operational), but can double the capacity if utilized.

HOME AMENITIES

The main floor showcases a chef’s kitchen including high-end gas stove/oven, under counter wine fridge, custom Brazilian marble countertops, a copper ceiling over dining area and copper accents throughout, including backsplashes. There is a breakfast bar with custom Tiki head accents at either end. Just off the kitchen, the laundry comes with front-loading digital washer/dryer.

The entire main level has Portuguese tile flooring and bamboo accented ceilings, and includes a full bath with an opaque glass block wall in the shower and a rattan and stained glass ceiling fan. The large open area in the back of the home would be easy to convert to another large bedroom suite or two rooms.

Home on Caye Caulker Island with Beautiful Views

The wrap around veranda is ideal for entertaining and is wide enough (8’) to have tables, chairs and hammocks strategically located to maximize the view.

Upstairs, the master suite is complete with a Jacuzzi tub in the full bath. Custom Belizean hardwood floors were lovingly hand placed to create a stunning pattern. Stained glass window over bathroom area adds to the dramatic appearance. The beautiful ceiling in the master suite is partly bamboo and includes a ceiling fan. An additional upstairs veranda (4’10” wide) is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises over the serene Caribbean and the stingrays jump high out of the water.

WINDOWS AND DOORS

This home boasts 43 louvered glass windows, allowing ample airflow from the lovely breezes coming off the ocean. There are two sliding glass doors on the main floor and one upstairs in the Master Suite.

The front door is custom hand carved solid mahogany. Battery bank provides 36 hours of power off of one generator charge. House is wired for 120V 60cycle with a 50amp breaker box and could easily be converted to solar. (Inverter is already installed).

This house is fully insurable against hurricanes and has been consistently insured. All interior walls are constructed of ply-cem instead of sheetrock, providing protection from moisture and insects. 

Although the dock is damaged, its foundation is concrete filled PVC pipes that are sunk quite deep into the bottom which makes the dock still secure and usable.  A $1000 USD allowance for the dock repair will be made as all it needs is boards and labour.

At the end of your exciting day, climb the stairs to your stargazing loft to experience the night sky as you have never seen it before, with no city lights to dim the vast array of stars as the milky-way touches the sea.
