Belize Mayor Earl Trapp participated in the legislative event proclaiming Feb 21st as International Tourism Day.

Starting the Day in Pasco Country Florida

Special thanks are owed to Pasco County, Florida, and the Pasco Economic Development Council, as well as Commissioner Starkey and CEO/President Bill Cronin.

Thank you for extending a warm welcome to Belize Mayor Earl Trapp and Councilor Matthew Preston from Santa Elena/San Ignacio, Belize, Aria Lightfoot of the Belize American Chamber of Commerce and Macarena Rose, of Keller Williams Belize.

During the visit, Pasco County hosted a legislative session proclaiming Feb 21st as International Tourism Day, with Mayor Earl Trapp as the esteemed guest of honor.

The day commenced with a delightful breakfast at the Starkey Ranch, where Commissioner Starkey greeted the guests and offered a tour. The Starkey Family, deeply rooted in Pasco’s history, once owned much of the land that comprises Pasco County today.

Following this, the Belize delegation enjoyed a lunch presentation from AmSkills, a nonprofit organization specializing in technical training and job placement in infrastructure and cybersecurity sectors.

Visiting Technical Schools

Subsequently, visits to two outstanding technical high schools, Fred K Marchman Technical College and Wendell Krinn Technical High School, showcased diverse curricula including Pharmacy, Nursing, Culinary, Cosmetology, Robotics, and Cybersecurity.

During the tour, the Robotics instructor expressed excitement at Belize’s presence, having previously competed against the Belize Robotics team. Pasco EDC then graciously guided the delegation through the newly refurbished and reopened historic Hacienda Hotel in New Port Richey, originally constructed in 1927.

A walking tour of downtown New Port Richey, led by former mayor and current Mayor Chopper Davis, followed, culminating in a splendid dinner at The Social, where the Pasco EDC leadership team joined in.

Pasco EDC, operating in close collaboration with Pasco County, plays a pivotal role in attracting investment projects that foster economic growth and job creation. As one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States, Pasco County witnesses an influx of over 1000 new residents daily, many of whom contribute to its flourishing economy.

The transformative efforts spearheaded by Pasco EDC have attracted major investors, shaping the county’s landscape and future prospects.

Keller Williams Belize RED Day is the day we as agents "GIVE WHERE WE LIVE".

Keller Williams Belize RED Day is the day of he year in May that agents and staff of Keller Williams offices all over the world perform community service.

We call this activity “Give Where We Live”. We put our RED Day Shirts on and go out into our communities to add value and give back.

Giving where we live is a cornerstone of our KW Culture. This year our team in Belize is building a library and resource center for an elementary school in the Village of Cowpen Belize.

Plan to come to Belize next year and participate with our Belize family on our day of service in Belize.
